The Challenge

The website needed to organize a growing amount of information including upcoming events, career resources, networking opportunities, student programs, sponsors, and member only resources (without making the experience overwhelming for students).

Fixing the problem

01. FIND - students' resources and opportunities.

02. CONNECT - students with events & industry professionals.

03. NAVIGATE - a large amount of content

 Research & Discovery

I created a Competitive Analysis where I reviewed comparable university and real-estate organizations to understand how similar programs organize events, career resources and industry information.

Organizing the Experience

As the platform expanded, information architecture became an important part of the design. I grouped related content into clear sections so students could move between events, career resources, community information and member content without searching through unrelated pages.

Wireframes helped establish page hierarchy and content placement before transitioning into visual styling.

Key

Findings

Resources needed centralization
Career preparation and educational content needed one clearly organized destination.

Different audiences needed different pathways
Students primarily need career opportunities, while alumni and industry professionals need clearer ways to mentor and participate.

Events needed greater visibility
Upcoming programming needed to be easier to discover and understand.

Navigation needed to simplify complex content
The amount of information could easily overwhelm users. Clear categories and page hierarchy are important design priorities.

The website needed to support ongoing engagement
The experience needed to go beyond introducing the program. This led to the development of a Resource Hub, job/internship content and member-focused resources.

Responsive Experience

The interface was adapted across desktop and mobile layouts to maintain hierarchy, readability and clear calls to action across screen sizes.
